with wear to the wood and small dings here and there

It is not very large --just over 8 inches tall--but enough of a knock out that I'd argue to placing at the center of the table

and the other drawers open and close with ease

Round Ball in Cage Inside of Cage Carved Whimsy child made boat but remains in good conditionIt seems possible that this whimsy was carved of some sort of nut pod (one sometimes sees Brazil nut podscarved into whimsy rattles), but this is quite different I'm not sure. At any rate, a pretty unusual one, all the better for the fact that you can roll it around! The cage inside the larger cage moves rolls around inside it, as does the ball inside of it, a little bit! 2" x 1 3 4" and in good shape, with little carved marks all over, original to it
