Guatemalan Finely Woven Cotton Textile Wall Hanging with Birds and People funnel shaped made of porcelain encased inThis charming vintage textile, Guatemalan I believe, is beautifully woven of very high quality cotton. The dark blue ground is very tightly woven of very fine thread, with the figurative design executed in thicker threads, placing it in relief and giving this piece terrific texture. I especially love the man and woman at either end, and the way the birds are balancing at the very edges of the colorful columns upon which they perch. The piece measures
